For what do you use Shazam? Streaming music? Try SoundCloud for one.
There are many others... there is Apollo (a Pandora streaming music app).

Yes, SoundHound is by far the best song recognition app. Not only will it identify almost every song you ask of it but for many songs it'll also show you the lyrics as they're being sung by the artist (they call that feature "Live Lyrics"). And best of all.....it's free in BlackBerry World.

Thanks so much - I have downloaded Sound Hound and love it! It is actually faaaar better than Shazam ever was.
