Auto Signature with BAS (C#/VB.NET)

[ Edited ]

Hello There,

I have a question about the auto-signature.

First, my goal is a application that are running on the BES Server directly. And I want read all users that are be added to the BES. So that's no problem. I got that solved (in VB.NET, so if someone need the code, so write me, I will send you a E-Mail with it). But now, I must write all users a personal signature.

So, how can this be done, or what class must I use? I didn't find anything Smiley Sad

I will be thankful for every tip Smiley Happy

with best regards

Jan Meister

PS: sorry for my bad English, but i hope you understand what I want Smiley Wink

So i found the Class that i need (EmailUserDeviceConfigurationServiceAttributes.autoSignaturField) but i don't know how i can change this on the userdevice.

Re: Auto Signature with BAS (C#/VB.NET)

Hi Jan.

After you do a getUser you can modify the user property and then set the user:

EmailExchangeUserDeviceConfigurationServiceAttributes request = user.userDeviceConfiguration[0].userDeviceConfigurationServiceAttributes[0] as EmailExchangeUserDeviceConfigurationServiceAttributes;

Console.WriteLine("Current signature: " + request.autoSignature);

request.autoSignature = "New signature";

setUser setUserRequest = new setUser();

setUserRequest.locale = locale;

setUserRequest.user = user;

SetUserResult setUserResult = coreWebService.setUser(setUserRequest).returnValue;

Let me know if this helps.
