Where is the com.rim.ws.enterprise.admin package?

Hello,

I'm preparing to use the BES API for doing some integration work. According to the online documentation (http://docs.blackberry.com/en/developers/deliverables/40686/jba1323369308846.jsp) all I need is the Apache CXF, however, if I look at the sample code (https://github.com/blackberry/BWS-Samples/blob/master/SampleBwsClient.java) I also need the com.rim.ws.enterprise.admin package. I'm assuming it is a part of some SDK. Where do I get the wretched thing? TIA

Hi aaron and welcome to the forums!

com.rim.ws.enterprise.admin is part of the proxy you need to create. The following article provides steps to help you get set up:

Re: Where is the com.rim.ws.enterprise.admin package?

Thank you for the welcome.

Running wsdl2java will create the whole package for me???

Our admins are slow seeting the test BES up. Is it possible to the .wsdl file somehow, if I download the test version?

TIA,

Re: Where is the com.rim.ws.enterprise.admin package?

Yes, wsdl2java.bat will create the entire proxy.

You will need the BES set up prior to doing this. The steps only take a few minutes and there isn't much testing/development that can be done until the BES is available anyways.

Re: Where is the com.rim.ws.enterprise.admin package?

Hi,

One more question. I finally got the access and wsdl2java generated me 271 classes, however, BWSUtil and BWSUtilService is not among them. What am I missing?

TIA,

Re: Where is the com.rim.ws.enterprise.admin package?

My apologies, I did not run the wsdl2java for the util URL. Sorry for a dumb question.
