App denied, because too large in portrait, when I blocked portrait...

I just got an email about denied my application, because of issue:

The application's display renders too large for the device screen in landscape orientation, and cannot be completely viewed by the user. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Launch the application. 2. Rotate the device to switch to landscape orientation. 3. Notice the application's page renders too large for the device screen.

When I have in config.xml [WebWorks] code:

	<feature id="blackberry.app">
		<param name="orientation" value="portrait" />
	</feature>

Could anyone help me, how is it possible to test portrait application in landscape mode

Thank You in advance

@26filip haha. I posted almost exactly the same question regarding cascades app couple hours ago.

On my opinion this is testing methodology error. They test situation that should never happen.

[ Edited ]

I have no idea. But it seems a bug in testing procedure. I can't reproduce this issue on my Dev Alpha.

Re: App denied, because too large in portrait, when I blocked portrait...

Another possibility is that they have different version of SDK where orientation handling changed.

If you look at documentation then there are two places where you can declare orientation support. bar-manifest.xml (you have probably called it config.xml) and when window is created.

I can imagine that defaults changed from version to version and if you (and me) didn't it exactly as described in documentation, then behavior on different version of OS can be different.

Will look at it tomorrow.

Is this the first release of your app? Any chance that the reviewers have tested previous version of your app?

In my case it was only version released ever.

Hmm, it was second release - first also denied because of the same issue, but the first release didn't have orientation code.
