Discounts?

Do developers get discounts on devices to test on or discounts in general?

RIM doesn't offer developers any discount on hardware.  You can dwonload simulator available online for free.  Simulator is good to test your app first.

There are also companies that provide actual devices for testing over the web.  For example:

It can get real costly to start having every possible device in house for testing.  My personal hope that RIM will just have a few devices going forward.  There really is not a need to have N number of devices with only slight variation in capabilities.  Apple has proven that.
