Dynamic Licensing Steps



I'm hoping that this thread will serve as a sticky for new application developers looking to find out what exactly is required to add  a dynamic licensing model to their applications.  I'm amazed at the lack of detailed guides or documentation on this subject. Can you all please outline:


-What the steps are to add this type of licensing based on a device PIN to their application.

-An example of a script or code that must be added into the .java application.

-Exactly what code/script must be added on the licensing server end.

There is an example of what code to add to your application here: 




As for the server code, we just used the licensing service above, so I can't help you much for the HTTP request processing and response.  But the above does have sample of generating the license key using SHA- or MD5, and base64 encoding.
