Error while installing BB Web Works: "JDK not installed", although it is

Hello everyone,

I have a Windows 7 (SP1) laptop. I downloaded BB Web Works v2.3 and while installing, an error message pops out:

"Java Development Kit 1.6 or higher Not Installed

The Java Deelopment Kit has not been installed. Please install the JDK 1.6 or higher before installing BlackBerry WebWorks SDK"

However, I DO have JDK installed. I tried with v1.6 and 1.7, and the result is the same. I am also sure that the JAVA_HOME environment variable is pointing toward the correct folder.

Any thoughts?

Re: Error while installing BB Web Works: "JDK not installed", although it is

Run a command prompt window (you can get it by Search "cmd") and type:

C\>java -version

What is the output?

You may want to check if PATH variable points to the java install folder

Another point to consider - are you sure that you have installed JDK and not only JRE?

Re: Error while installing BB Web Works: "JDK not installed", although it is

Thanks for your answer! The problems was that JDK needs to be installed as 32-bit, even in a 64-bit architecture. Thanks a lot Smiley Happy
