Interesting ControlledAccessException

Hey there folks, I get a very interesting ControlledAccessException from the sample code shown here: http://www.blackberry.com/knowledgecenterpublic/livelink.exe/fetch/2000/348583/800332/800639/How_To_...

It stems from this line:

ApplicationManager.getApplicationManager().launch("net_rim_bb_appworld?" + myContentId);

The stack trace is as follows:

 net_rim_cldc

 ControlledAccess

 assertRRISignature

 0x3431

net_rim_cldc-6

 ApplicationManagerImpl

 <private>

 0x3432

net_rim_cldc-6

 ApplicationManagerImpl

 <private>

 0x3269

net_rim_cldc-6

 ApplicationManagerImpl

 launch

 0x312F

I've never heard of an RRI signature. I signed the sample with RRT, RCR and RBB signatures. I do however recognize this assertion. It occurs when attempting to launch RIM native apps through the launch api.

Anyone else experienced this problem?

Thanks for reporting this.  This is an issue in BlackBerry handheld software version 4.5.0 and 4.6.0 and has been passed to our development team for resolution.
