It's hard enough getting reviews and sometimes people leave bad reviews simply because they failed to read the instructions on how to launch the product.
In most cases like that, they contact the developer and finally get the product to work but are unable to edit their review or add a new one.
Hopefully someone passes this accross to RIM if it has not been suggested already

I would also ask to give some contact to the users who left feedback. Some users having issues, left 0 starts and I cannot even contact them to help even though the issue is trivial.

@demon: I can see this being a legal issue with RIM supporting what may be termed unsolicited correspondence.
The contact support feature has worked well for me so far however, the average consumer jumps the gun and leaves a bad review just because they can't get an app to work before contacting support.

I believe what the poster is requesting is the ability for the user to edit his/her review, not the developer.
I have addressed a few shortcomings mentioned in my product's reviews, but my customers can't go back and edit their original review to reflect the improvements. That is a fairly unsatifactory review system.

Attempted to write a review on a game but it kept stating invalid characters. So, I tried writing just gibberish with no punctuation of course and it worked! Now I can't change my review.

I totally agree with this, users must be able to edit their reviews when things are solved/changed.

In practice I think that very few users would actually go back and edit their reviews anyhow...
