Replacing App Screenshots

I have screenshots for a PlayBook application that I'd like to replace (the entire set) for 2 reasons**.

If I submit a new set, most of the images will "look" the same as the existing, but with a few minor changes.

However I do not want to delete my old images until my new images have been approved.  What is frustrating (and thus why I'm writing this question) is that I'm not sure if there is an "approval period" to delete my images.

If there is, there will be a period of time (days/weeks) that I have the old images AND the new images that I'd rather not go through.

Does anyone know how long it takes to "delete" an app screenshot? is it immediate?

**Side Notes:

1.) It would be really, really, really, really nice if I had the ability to sort my screenshots to ensure the order is as I desire.

2.) The main reason that I want to re-submit my screenshots is that during the early days of PlayBook on AppWorld the screenshots were over compressed  by AppWorld to get really small JPEG file sizes (which caused horrible pixelation) but worse yet I've noticed recently that the JPEG's have been re-compressed/formated for size? from the originally over-compressed images and now the screenshots are just plain terrible.  The only thing worse would be no images... thus I'm only keeping them until I can do this swap.

3.) Thankfully at the time of the BB10DA-A launch the PlayBook and the BB10 were updated to generate PNG images (Thanks!!!) so the new images being uploaded won't have any artifacts ;-)

Re: Replacing App Screenshots

I've encountered the same concern. I believe when you delete them, they'll still show up for a while on the devices, cached, but will start to disappear from any device which queries the server for the product in question. There's certainly no change request ticket created when you delete them, so it looks like the change is instant from the server's point of view (although possibly the usual 24h propagation of changes applies.. I wouldn't count on it though).

What you might want to do is add the new ones all to the end of the list, wait for approval, then delete the old ones from the start of the list.

Re: Replacing App Screenshots

Yeah I think that is what I'll have to do. Thanks for the insight on deletions.

Re: Replacing App Screenshots

Let us know how it works out. I'd have taken that approach myself when I needed it, if I'd thought of it at the time.
