Revenue share and VAT

Hello,

I know RIM will charge 30% of the revenue if I sell an app (correct me if I'm wrong) and I need to pay income tax in my country (The Netherlands).

But what about the value added tax. Do I need to pay the VAT?

Re: Revenue share and VAT

What we know from our discussion with the (UK) tax authorities :

- if the buyer is a non european individual or a non european company the rate has to be zero percent.

- if the buyer is an european customer the full rate has to be paid (20% as we are a UK company).

- If the buyer is an european company the rate is zero percent but we need to know the European VAT number of this company.

Re: Revenue share and VAT

I forgot to say that the european VAT has to be paid by all company worldwide on sales done with european customers...

Of course most foreign companies never heard about this legal requirement.
