Is there any way to get an explanation for why a review has been denied? We opened a ticket through the vendor portal but haven't seen anything change.
The following legit review was posted and denied the other day:
Title: A MUST HAVE APP FOR GUITARISTS!
Try the demo! You'll say, "**bleep**! What a killer app!". Their customer service is also top notch. I had trouble with registration so I emailed them for help. They solved my problem in 30 min. Thank you!!!
Could it be that he used the word "**bleep**"? That's the only thing I can figure. It's hard enough to get people to take the time to go back and submit reviews without them being withheld due to language that's so mild your kids are probably hearing worse right now in their Saturday morning cartoons.
Ok, I just tried to submit this post and it censored the word, so I'm assuming that's what it is. The word is simply D--N, which sounds like something a beaver would build.... Comeon, seriously?

Frustrating that it is denied outright because of that, why can't the word just be censored or removed the way they do if I type it here.. Or why not tell the person when they submit it that it may be rejected because of cursing and give them a chance to edit it? Lots of options that are better than throwing out a hard earned review.
Anyway, the app is Guitar Studio, you can find all the details at http://www.lcamobile.com

Another review related question: is the free trial download option available in all countries that support App World?
After getting 8 reviews of 5*, we suddenly got a review today at 1* from someone complaining that our app is not French. Well, we never claim to support any languages other than english, and there is a fully functional free trial available which would certainly show a potential customer that the app is in english. So I'm wondering why someone would buy it outright, then complain, and it occured to me that maybe the trial is not available there?
Also, why are people allowed to post reviews after only downloading the free trial? Free trials could have limited functionality, or all kinds of differences from the full app.. Shouldn't sales affecting reviews be limited only to paying customers who have experienced the entire app?

"Another review related question: is the free trial download option available in all countries that support App World?"
I believe the trial download option is available in countries that allow purchasing of the full version. Note that the App World is available in some countries, but they are not allowed to purchase paid apps yet.
I agree that people who download and use the trial version should not be able to post comments or reviews.
