This article applies to the following:

  • BlackBerry® World™ storefront

When posting an application or making a cosmetic change (such as new screen shots, new icon, or changing the description) there are two cache times that will affect how long it takes for the changes to appear in BlackBerry World.

Server cache

This cache is currently set at 24 hours. When you post a new application for sale, you can expect it to appear in BlackBerry World within 24 hours. This is important to keep in mind when planning marketing launches.

Client cache

This cache is currently set at 7 days. Making modifications to an application that is already for sale, or adding a new maintenance release falls under this category. It can take up to 7 days for all BlackBerry® smartphone users to see your upgraded release, new or changed screen shots, or new icons.

These two cache times must be considered when submitting a new application, making changes to existing applications, or uploading an upgraded versions of your application.

Currently, there is no way to clear the cache or expedite these timings.
