What am I doing wrong?

Hi guys/gals,

I'm a little confused as to how to start writing an app for Blackberry's.

I've downloaded the "Blackberry Widget SDK", and also the Java kit, and it looks like the software installed ok, but I can't see it on my Start menu, Desktop, or anywhere??? Am I looking in the wrong place?

I've never developed anything like this before (normally I deal with JS/CSS/Perl/MySQL/XHTML), but I'm very keen to learn it, as I've got a few ideas of "widgets" that I would like to develop.
