2 questions - Please help

Hi

Could do with someone help regarding 2 things on the Blackberry Z10:

1) Cannot find an option to turn off Whatsapp messages appearing in the Hub, anyone know?

2) I am sure my emails are automatically being deleted, cannot find an option to select if emails should be deleted after a certain number of days or NOT to be deleted at all.

Thanks.

Re: 2 questions - Please help

1. I don't see that either, to remove the notifications from the Hub.

2. The Z10 Active Sync will sync messages for up to 30 days only, currently. BlackBerry personnel have stated that will be raised.

If you mean WhatsApps appearance on the Hub "peek" menu (when you pull from the left with the Hub Messages list displayed), there is no option...any account integrated into the BB automatically appears in the Hub Peek Menu.

On the other hand, if you mean individual messages appearing in the unified Hub Messages List, you can control that...with the hub messages list displayed, press the "3 dots" on the bottom right of the screen and select Settings.  Then, select "Hub Management". Slide on/off those accounts that you want to appear/not show in the unified Hub Messages List.

There is no automatic email deletion function. There is a "rolling 30-day" (max 30-days) window of time for which emails will appear on the BB. Some accounts you can control this, others you cannot. If, from the homescreen, you swipe down from the top and select Settings > Accounts, then within each account, if you can go to the "Advanced" screen (at the bottom of the first account screen, next to the trash can), then there will be a "Sync Timeframe" selection available. If you cannot get to the Advanced screen, then that account type (e.g., IMAP, POP, etc.) does not provide control over this setting and it (I believe) defaults to the 30-day rolling window.

Good luck!

WhatsApp is not an option to remove there.

Oh...I did make an assumption (I don't use WhatsApp) based on how all other apps of that type work...so that's another inconsistency then. Just one more for "the list"!
