BB Protect isn't working

When I login to protect.blackberry.com, This message appears:

A device isn’t associated with BlackBerry Protect. To add a device to this account, on a device running BlackBerry 10 OS, swipe from the top of the home screen. Tap Settings > Protect. Turn on BlackBerry Protect.

I turned my BlackBerry Protect -->ON

I turned Location Services -->ON

I checked my WI-FI and it's working.

What should I do?

thanks in advance.

mtareq, when you login to Protect on your pc, are you using the very same BBID as on your #Z10?

[ Edited ]

Reboot of the Z10 device is not helping.

The https://protect.blackberry.com/protect/mydevice page still show a general message about a non-connected-device.

Using: Z10ST100-2/10.2.1.2141

I would be glad to get any help.

Cheers,

If the device battery is dead, or the SIM card is removed from the device, it will show as non-connected.

What happened to your Z10, you haven't said.

Re: BB Protect isn't working

The device is alive and working perfectly. I wanted to check on options which I might need in the future.

I turned on Protect on the phone weeks ago. It was today that I wanted to check on the available options on the site.

Re: BB Protect isn't working

Well, that's nice additional information.

Is the device inside with you? Walk outside for while, make sure you leave Protect on.

Make sure your location services is on at Settings > Location Services.

Then, go back and check the website login again.

Re: BB Protect isn't working

Ok, I'll do that in the morning.

As I said, the Protect was switched on weeks ago and I'm sure Location was available multiple times already (it is on always). So, I would at least await something like: "your BlackBerry Z10 device has unknown position" instead of the current "a device is not associated...". I'll see in the morning.

Have a beautiful day!

Re: BB Protect isn't working

Dear Joey,

thank you for your suggestion, but I have no success make my device visible on the Protect website.

1) I was outside, was connected to Internet and I checked my position on the map. Came home and the Protect site still reads the general message.

2) I repeated the experiment once again. Now, I restarted the phone outsise between the two position checkes using the map. No success -- the site remains silent about my phone.

Cheers,

Re: BB Protect isn't working

In what country are you located?
What mapping app are you using?
