I have the same problem on my movistar Argentina, exactly the same problem. Did you fix it ?
I keep calling the Movistar currier but they say that it is problem of the phone, not for them.
Internet and all application works but BBM, It says It can not connect to the serve.
The only way I got it to work is if I do a security wipe and then I use only Wi Fi for the first setp up, then BBM works fine, at the moment I put the micro chip then, there is no BBM logo on the net and I can not connect to the server or if the BBM is already activatied I can not send or invite anyone.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
With a strong carrier network signal (e.g., not merely WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (step 1 should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
1) Register HRT
