Re: Z10 heats up and battery life is only 3-4 hours under low usuage..

I have been one to complain about battery life and z10 overheating.  After replacing the battery and the phone(!!) plus re-installing the new AT&T update, my phone is now FIXED!!!

But, I think what fixed it was discovering that with the new OS update, the phone could not refresh the GMAIL calendar -- and tried constantly -- killing the battery and overheating the phone -- which got hot to the touch even when in the BB leather pocket sleve.

If your phone is overheating and the battery life is less than 10 hours (mine set a record at 12 hours yesterday), then check for apps (even those whcih came with hte phone) and be sure none are out of control.

Is your gmail calendar working? Mine is not synching. The battery seems okay after the upgrade.

I just have accepted GMAIL calendar is a problem with the current upgrade. And I'm tired of trying to fix things vs enjoying this great smartphone.

Re: BB Z10 Heating Up and Drain Battery in 5 hours

It s really sad that they have screwed up this phone. I was rooting for blackberry and love the email function, but find this ongoing calendar headache so annoying I am probably going to junk the phone.

My z10 heats up a lot too. I have the latest software. But still the same. Battery lasts for 4-5 hours. These are the issues right from day one. Now it's 4 months. Please help.
