Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Please try this sequence...note that, throughout the entire 4h15m process, your BB must remain directly connected to a known-good wall charger (not PC USB, not a cradle):
This has been known to "kick start" some BBs.
It is also possible that your battery or BB has experienced a problem...to test, this sequence is needed:
The results of this will indicate if it's your BB or your battery that has the problem. Note carefully please that "new" and "know good" are not necessarily the same things. While rare, a "new" battery certainly could be defective. Rather, the simplest (and least costly, btw) method to conduct this test is to find someone with an identical BB who has no issues...trade batteries and see what happens.
Good luck and let us know!

This same battery drain problem is also happening with the Q5 phones - your suggestion to fix it obviously does not apply to them. What can be done to stop this occurring in the Q5?
But, you are posting in the Z10 section.

here is one solution I tried after lookng through various forums and is kind of working for me. ONe thing I found common in most solutions is that take the battery and sim out, leave it like that for 1 to 2 hours and put them back in, and turn it on. I am not sure of the logic behind it, but I remember reading that this make the phone forget any battery issues (logged incorrectly- basically a reset) and starts fresh.
I tried this 2 days back and I see that it has worked for me, atleast till now. Fingers crossed.
Hope this is helpful, works atleast for few of you.
Thanks to all for suggestions.

I'am also having serious troubles.
I tested another battery for about 24-36 hours, and then when I put my old battery inside, it worked fine for 48 hours, giving smashing problems again.
When charging, shows 4% and the symbol turns that of full charged and no further charging happens until you plug out and plug in again.
When not charging, the battery suddenly drops to 0% and still the phone doesn't switch off because of that.
charges so fastly to 100% and sometimes, arbitrarily, drains itself, gets switched off and not switching on for a long time even after plugged in. The BlackBerry written comes, and it gets restarted again, while charging.

had exactly same problem ,, someone told me how to fix it and it worked for me ,,
All what u have to do is remove ur battery for 90 minutes no matter if its fully charged or 90-80-70-60 % , After 90 minutes put it again then u will find that the problem has gone !
