Re: BB10 BATTERY LIFE (Or lack Therof...)

Be sure to use the supplied wall charger. Other USB wall chargers may not supply sufficient current.

Also, make sure the USB connector mates correctly and that the lighning bolt (charging icon) appears on the battery icon.

If your battery is at 100% after a charge and you don't get at least a full day out of it (should easily be more than a day), you may want to return the battery and/or device for a replacement.

You don't have a bad battery, you have an overused device. Be patient.

Most all users I know have said it takes 8-10 days for the device to settle down all the linking and downloading and you'll get better battery life.

Re: BB10 BATTERY LIFE (Or lack Therof...)

Well I dont have an overused device. I am barely using it compared to some of the days I used my Torch and got away with it. Yesterday, total of 5 phone calls and 7 emails, about 3 minutes looking up something in the browser, no GPS, no NFC.  Had it since Feb 22 so it should be figuring oput my patterns by now, whatever that entails. yesterday I unplugged it from the wall charger at 10:30 and had to plug it into my car charger at 25% at 14:50. My Torch would typically be at 50% around 17:00 and need plugging in by 21:00 after a busy day, which I haven't had one of since I got my Z10.

Re: BB10 BATTERY LIFE (Or lack Therof...)

You have a brand new Z10, and you've not been using it much, like checking apps, settings, etc., syncing contacts, calendar, etc.?

That would be odd, indeed, if you have not.

Re: BB10 BATTERY LIFE (Or lack Therof...)

I did that the first weekend I had it. Deleted all the extraneous stuff, facebook, twitter, linkedin, foursquare, etc. Ran the software update last weekend, on charger, at home.  Since then I've had work to do... Guess i didn't mention, I am an adult...

Re: BB10 BATTERY LIFE (Or lack Therof...)

Telus says you have 30 days to return product for a NEW replacement... the Telus store where I got mine said 15 days ??

So I would Return it for another one.

& BTW the Pink Pig J Sanders doesn't read very well... as he commented on my earlier post to be Patient since I just bought my Phone on Sunday... he should have read that I wasn't complaining I was responding to you that since new Update My battery life has been GREAT

Re: BB10 BATTERY LIFE (Or lack Therof...)

I have OS 10.0.10.90 bought the Z10 two days ago. The battery lasts 24 hours with two phone-calls, each about 5 Minutes, about an hour Internet (RSS Feeds) and 3-5 Mails written. I am a little bit disappointed, but I hope it will get better... Sven
