BBM Issues

Hi,

I recently purchased a Z10 and while using the bbm, realised that I can send messages to some of my contacts, it remains 'D' even after they have read it but they reply and I don't receive the messages. Can someone kindly help me with a solution to this? Thank you all.

There was (yesterday) issues with the BBM sever, and BlackBerry has since stated their fix is complete.

 

It may take some time for propagation through the network, but any BBM server issues you might be experiencing should be clearing up, including the reconciliation of the D and R marks.

Thank you for the suggestion but the problem didn't start yesterday. I'll be patient and watch if it persists though.

So the issue with that one contact could be a result of what I mentioned above.

If it doesn't resolve itself in a day, call MTN and ask that the issue be escalated up to BlackBerry tech support.

 

You can also ask that other user to reboot their phone and to send you a BBM message, do they see the D then R on their end?

I'm having a very simliar problem, which seemed to start yesterday, but isn't still isn't resolved.  

 

I have one particular contact who can send me a BBM, which I receive, but if I reply, the message just shows as a tick, but doesn't move to a D or R - on my contact's Torch 9810, their message to me shows as a D and doesn't show as R.  Eventually, my mesage to my contact does show as a D, but the message is never delivered.  I've tried deleting the contact and re-adding them, rebooting the phone, and even uninstalling BBM from appworld (although this doesn't seem to be possible).

 

What's strange is that I can BBM other contacts and both send and receive messages to them no problem.  It can't be the network as my contact is sat in the same room, accessing the same router!

 

All thoughts welcome!

It happened to me also, im living in qatar, i called network provider, asked technical support, i followed all the instructions but still i cant receive any replies from a particular person. It shows d to him though he read and reply to mre, i cant even receive his messages. Please ,is there anyone who can clear up my mind about this, i really need help.
