BBM stuck on "Associating BBM with your BlackBerry ID"

Problem started after i upgraded to OS 10.2

The Phone accepts the BB ID while setup and also other Apps like BB Worls and BB Travel uses the BB id successfuly , but BBM just doesnt start.

It just stays at the message "Associating BBM with your BlackBerry ID" with the spining circle.

 

- did wipe , did SW reload - same issues

- tried with a new BB ID - same issues

 

What could be wrong?

If your problem persists I recommend installing the BBM Channels
Before you must be registered to download the latest BBM Channels

Or download the Beta Zone application and proceeds to download the BBM Channels with prior registration in the Beta Zone

On your device, do you get the BB logo up near the signal strength indicators?

Thank you for this.  I tried re-registering with the netowrk.  Made no difference.

 

So then I tried downloading Beta one and BBM Channels.   Works like a charm, straight away.

BB Z10  - (I feel like chucking it in the bin and going back to my BB Bold - smaller, lighter, better battery life, positive button press and the Z10 has already been back to repair for a faulty battery voltage indicator.  Battery life on Z10 is about 6 hours on idle, with WiFi off and all other functions off except mobile voice switched on - and no voice calls made or received).  If you can suggest an improvement to this, I would love to hear it.  And then maybe RIM can offer you a job as Tech Director!!

You must have a data plan or BIS BlackBerry
If so, also log in to a wifi network to complete the process.

Not on a BB10 device.  A BIS plan is NOT required.

So in this case we can recommend that you connect to a wifi network...
