BLACKBERRY 10 BBM / EMAIL PUSH DELAY PROBLEM POSSIBLE SOLUTION

 

hello

 

i had a problem with my new blackberry z10 bbm and email delays. basically not receiving email and bbm real time.

 

the solution, call your network provider and ask them to resend your internet service books, this should do the trick.

 

i found out that service book was not only for bis plan. but all type of internet plan.

 

it worked for me. i hope it also help users with similar issues.

Thanks for the info., however, I contacted Rogers and ask them to resend my Internet service books, seems they don't understand what I am talking about. Could you please more specify on what is Internet service books? Thank you.

I called TELUS and asked them to re-send the service books to try to resolve the delay issue. He did know what I was talking about, but says that they can't send service books on the Z10 with the new OS, and that this is only relevant to older BBs. His suggestion to resolve push delay is to delete the accounts, power down, then re-add them. I suppose I'll give that a try, and then head back to the TELUS store to see if they can help me to resolve it.

I am having a similar problem. 

I have three accounts on my Z10 - and am with Bell. My hotmail, sympatico account work perfectly however the important work account doesn't. I have contacted the host there and they say the problem isn't theirs. I had noticed after one of the last playbook upgrades a similar issue. My playbook would say that there was a problem with my email account and some features may not work.  When I go into the settings on my Z10 I see the same error. A battery pull or restart seems to temporarily solve the problem. 

 

I have verified that I am using the proper settings and ports. Very odd that this started last week on my Z10.

I have even removed and reinstated the email account and there hasn't been an improvement.

Hello,

I'll try to explain as clear as I can.

I came from bis internet. On bis, you can log in to the website with your bis account username and password to setup email and push to the legacy blackberry phone. On the same website under help, you can send service books to push to the legacy phones. This is done if there is a problem with you phone and not receiving push properly.

At the blackberry z10, we don't need bis plan, we just use regular plan which we don't have any access with the service books since no website to set email. But instead controlled by the provider. Normally call center don't know about these things. I called around 5x before I was pass to a blackberry specialist and that's what he did, he just resend the service books for my internet plan. Its like resetting your internet setting under there network internally.

Also, when calling your provider, try to have them connect you to internet problem department or similar.

I'm not sure, but I believe all internet provider have this. On my network they call it as service books. Maybe they call it differently. No all is the same. I think.

Also, your internet or network provider should have push feature on there internet.

Had the same problems worked fine first couple of weeks then drooped out on my business email........power up or re-boot along came all my emails then stoped till repeated re-boot.    The Z10 uses a defferent platform to the old BIS and you need to call you service provider in my case orange and have the new Z10 device removed from the BIS system.   They will send you a new service book for your device and when you re-boot all will be well.......well mine was anyway...!!
