I got my Z10 today, plugged in my Sim and when I insert the battery I see a red LED on top right corner for about 4 seconds, after another two seconds a red hollow battery icon with exlamation sign shows up for another 3 seconds and then all goes black and off.
The same happens when I plug in the charger, red LED for 5 seconds then off and nothing happens. It has been sitting on the charger for some hours now without any visible sign, nothing changed.
The battery should come precharged, is this right? And could this one be deeply discharged so that the charger will never start charging it?

plug charger into phone and then add in battery
wait a bit and it should start to charge
also you can try to remove USB from charger and put back in
BESAdmin's, please make a signature with your BES environment info.

Will let it sit on charger over night and probably initiate a replacement on monday.
Unfortunately the external charger pack on crackberry store is out of stock, I guess this could also help.

Did you ever get around to solving this issue? I'm having a similar issue on my Q10 and I can't seem to figure what's the matter. Is it the charger, the battery or the power source. It really is confusing.
Would appreciate if you'd share your experience.
