BlackBerry Link Update

Hello all,

I'm trying to understand BBLink.

I want to upgrade to the new firmware and last night my Link wanted to upgrade. Due to the local network (I'n in a hotel in NIgeria) it did not work. Tried some other thinks but it just consumed my dongle airtime (over 1.5GB and still no new install)

Anyway, when I connect my phone to my Mac and start BBL, it sees most of the time my Z10, but I can't upgrade my firmware...

Any thoughts??

You should be able to update it without connecting to Link, on the phone. Settings, Software Updates and do it from there....?

Forget that - load of rubbish and I can't delete it! SORRY Smiley Happy

Re: BlackBerry Link Update

Check with your carrier, have they pushed out the software update?

Re: BlackBerry Link Update

Remove your SIM card from the device, and then connected to a PC, using the PC browser go to www.blackberry.com/updates

Scroll down to CHECK FOR UPDATES and see if you get the update message

Re: BlackBerry Link Update

Is your Z10 unlocked for use on any carrier? It should work.

Re: BlackBerry Link Update

Look at your Z10 Universal Search at the bottom of the home screen.

Type "SIM card" and you will see the SIM card settings.

If your Network states "unlocked', you are unlocked.
