Browser rotation does not work

Just got the z10 on AT&T. When the browser is open, the screen rotation does not work. The screen turns, but only takes up half the screen and is magnified. It does not look like other z10s I've seen. I've compared all settings and they are the same. The rotation works on every other part of the device. Anyone else have this problem and know how to fix it? Is there a way to just un-install the browser and reinstall? I don't want to lose everything by doing a wipe of my day old phone!

Try first... Do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner: With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot.

Thanks for the response! I tried that and it still doesn't work. Any other ideas or tips on how to un install / reinstall just the browser?

You can't remove the browser.

 

From the main screen of your Z10, please swipe from the top.

Is the setting for ROTATION LOCK enabled or blue?

If so, touch it and disable the setting.

It is enabled (not blue). The rotation works on everything else- Emails, texts, etc. But as soon as I go into the browser the image is rotated but distorted and only displays on half the screen. Anyway I can post a screen shot?

So, do I need to do a wipe? I've had this problem since un boxing.

  • Open your browser > settings > Privacy and security > clear the browser cache.
  • Do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner: With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot.
  • Now, try the browser again.
