I've been trying the Shift+Send, but it doesn't work for me. And, btw, I do have the latest update. However, THIS is awesome. Instead of using "qq"' I use "nl" - for "new line". Smiley Happy

What do Blackberry have against carriage returns?!
I just lost my Z10 and replacement has newer version of BB10


- Now the return button which used to work in a text when there was no name in the 'to' box doesn't work - Dead button
- Now you can no longer add carriage return in the 'autoreplace' [prohibited?!] so the useful trick from this thread of replacing 'qq' with a return won't work any longer.

 

Is there some perverse project team at Blackberry who is out to deny users any way of doing a carriage return?
It's like they have been reading these forums and deliberately buggered up all the workarounds.
For goodness sake! Sort it out Blackberry. Give us our carriage return back and move that **bleep** Send button somewhere safer!

It sounds like your replacement device is a much lower OS release.

 

All the features you've mentioned still work on the higher 10.1 and 10.2 releases.

 

Since you haven't said what OS release your new Z10 is on... I can only guess.
