Change Search Engine to specific search Z10

[ Edited ]

I would like to change my default search engine to a specific search engine such as google.co.uk OR google.ca OR google.com.au I do not want to use Bing or Yahoo or Google.com!

How do I go about changing the default search engine, I am aware that I can change the home page address.

Any help would be appreciated.

Re: .

One easy method is to save that preferred search page as your HOME page for the browser or as a book mark.

Re: Change Search Engine to specific search Z10

I am having the same difficulty. My Canadian BlackBerry Passport has Google.com and the Americans are still using the old temperature system, which makes searching for the weather more awkward. This is only one reason I want to change it.

Is there a direct way to change the search engine from American Google.com to localised Google.ca or Google.co.uk? I DO NOT WANT A HOME PAGE SUGGESTION, LIKE THE ORIGINAL POSTER ALLUDED TO. HE WAS IGNORED.

He was not ignored.

You said he was ignored. He was not ignored. So, that answers your stated concern.

I gave the earlier user the best alternative of which I am aware.

If there is a way to set a custom default search engine, I don't know. I will inquire.

Have a great day.

Re: Change Search Engine to specific search Z10

Thanks JSanders. I tried that yesterday, but it when I did a search on Google.ca, there was no "add search" option on the tree dot menu. Not sure why not.

Re: Change Search Engine to specific search Z10

Ok, and I see that also, on both my Z30 and Passport.

I am asking around.
