Change email account when replying to email

Good day - Z10 user here.

 

I have 2 email addresses set up on my BB (1 work & 1 personal) and I am trying to reply to an email that has been sent to my work account and change the sending email account to my personal one.

 

How do I accomplish this?  There seems no (obvious) way to do this!

There is not. It's a security concern.

However, you should be able to forward the email and enter the recipient's address and change the sending account. Good luck.

Could you expand your comment:- "It's a security concern"??  Just curious as to why changing the 'from' email address/account is a security concern.

 

Also I tried to forward and change the sending email account - still no go......... Smiley Sad

 

The only thing I can do is forward the email to the email address I actually want to send from then forward again back to the original sender!

 

What a time-consuming way to do a fairly straightforward (& useful) function!

 

(Incidentally I could do this on my old BB9900..........)

No, you could not do this on the 9900, I am quite certain.

Replies must come from the account to which the email was sent. If the forwarding workaround is locked down, then your work email BES or IT admin has locked that function. It is working fine for me.

Oh how strange!  Ah the vageries and oddities of IT!!!!

 

Will have to carry on with the twice forward trick in order to reply then Smiley Wink
