Contact List

My contact list, lists / details numerous different contacts repeated multiple times, (up to 4 x each). Can anyone tell me how to correct this problem?

Re: Contact List

This thing happened to me when I started to ude Z10, data were tansferred from 9860 to new device and it was a mess.

My solution was to amend the list...

Re: Contact List

Thanks, I was looking for an easier solution. My contact list is large, with the repeats this task will take too long.

Re: Contact List

I would suggest you to check all the list, I don't why, but a lot of my contacts, during the porting, were spitted in two  or three voices (one with phone number, one for bbm pin and one for email address...). I know it's a nightmare and hope is not the same for you!

Re: Contact List

The answer is not only clean up your contacts list, but also to use the Link function to combine or link those duplicated contacts between your different databases.

On a contact, Click on "Links" and search and connect those other contacts, and SAVE.

Re: Contact List

Thanks JSanders, you explained something I didn't know. This thing would have avoided my long work to rebuild the moved list !

Re: Contact List

Good deal, it's not a feature one sees immediately.
