Disconnecting 2 devices on same BB ID

I appear to have mistakenly used the same BB ID on two phones: one, my new Z10, the other my wife's 9300 (OS 6.0) which I set up a while ago.  Different carriers.

So the BBM contact information is the same on both phones.  I want to separate these two BB ID, one for each device.

If I have to do a Security Wipe, I want to wipe the 9300, not the Z10 (It is on a BES and I don't want to introduce any problems there).

If I go to change the ID on the Z10, it says a Security Wipe is required. So I stop.

But on the 9300,  I can change the BB ID email and names (no Security Wipe required), but then the BB ID information Z10 is update with the same info and the problem persist.

I am stuck.  How do I keep the same BB ID on the Z10, but change it on the 9300?

Re: Disconnecting 2 devices on same BB ID

Hello,

The wipe is required on the 9300 -- refer:

All you are doing is changing information ABOUT the BBID, which correctly then reflects to all devices associated to that BB ID. But, to actually change the BB ID to which the 9300 is associated, you must WIPE the 9300.

Good luck!
