Email Password

Hi, Can someone explain to me how to permanently save email passwords as the BBZ10 keeps deleting them from my PoP email account. Even when registering on the forum I couldn't get the verify email and had to pick it up from my iPad, embarrassed BB, I would be! Lets not even go there with the outlook debacle, this is supposed to be the one that saves BB! Can anyone help please? Thanks B

I've never had this issue, and not seen it before...

So are you receiving a notification that your email account needs a password or what?

The notification says something close to "The password has changed"

 

I know for deffinate that it has not and this happens at least twice a day. My password was quite a long one, maybe 15 random characters / numbers. I have not shortened it to 8 to see if that helps.

 

I think the BB is too quick to assume an error in communicating with the mailbox means the password has changed.

 

I have also removed and added back the accounts numerous times. I believe people also had this issue on the Playbook.

 

If you want to test, iCloud would be best. Set the sync to lowest time and wait.

 

The last time it happened to we was when I went in lift to a -3 floor car park. That time im assuming it lost connection due to subterranian location.

I have changed the settings from IMAP to POP3 and so far so good
