Email on Z10 and on my server deleted

before the last update email was deleted on both the server and Z10 at the same time, with the update we could delete the email on my Z10 only or both ...but had a choice ....all of a sudden my Z10 went back to the way it was where the option of deleting one or both was gone and only both could be deleted..........

Sorry, I'm still on 10.1, so I can't actually try to duplicate. But, are you saying in the update there is an actual option to choose not to delete, or it just started happening?
