False update notification in blackberry world caused by blackberry bridge

[ Edited ]

So I kept getting the notification (trademark red bb message/update icon) when I opened blackberry world, but some with some unique characteristics.  It would only happen upon the first opening unless I hit the screen lock and then once again it would appear only the first time i entered the world.  I would indicate there was an update in my world apps but when i went in there.....nada.   I would not get a notification in the hub or on the home screen but only when i opened bb world myself. If i closed it at this point and opened it up immediately the notification would be gone. I played around with apps and settings and the issue stopped when I deleted the blackberry bridge app.  It is not a huge issue but give it a try if you are experienceing this.

Re: False update notification in blackberry world caused by blackberry bridge

Hey Shinrai,

Thanks for the post.

Did you recently update your BlackBerry device software?  Also did this happen after you install any applications from BlackBerry World?

I look forward to your reply.

Cheers.
