Re: Few minor flaws I've noticed

I don't understand, to turn the device OFF you have to hold that button for at least 3 seconds. If you hold it for any longer AND push any part of the screen the two options are simply "Cancel" or "Restart".

"Cancel" would do just that and you wouldn't power off.

"Restart" would do just that and the phone would be back up and running in less than 1.5 minutes.

You (them) or something else must be holding that top button for more than 3 seconds to cause the phone to turn OFF. Sorry, but from my perspective, it's as simple as that. Smiley Happy

Re: Few minor flaws I've noticed

tmaier, I think people are trying to help you.

Just don't push down on the center of the phone when placing it in the holster!

I'm sure lots of people are having this issue, and I'll bet they'll figure out where not to push on.

tmaier, I have read all of your posts and I do not understand how it is possible for a touch of the screen anywhere to shut down the device. Here is a screenshot of what's available once you push that button on top:

I do not see a button that says 'Power off device" that can be hit while touching the screen anywhere. The only way to shut it down is to push and hold that top button for greater than 3 seconds...

If you have found another way to do it please provide a screenshot and explain further so that we can help you out.

Thank you.

I agree.  I am seeing the same thing.  Not always consistent, but even a quick top button push when holstering, will cause the device to start the count down for shut off.

I  have replicated this several times.  Only solution is to be careful while holstering not to hit the button....almost impossible to not hit it if you are a frequent fast gun holster person on a tight belt and beer gut!!!!!

The other thing I have noticed is that when answering a call, and pulling out of holster, it will sometimes be in a semi-landscape mode....crazy screen.  Difficult to swipe down to answer and impossible to end the call.  It only happens if the screen is unlocked prior to the call (recently used then put back in holster prior to the call).  Solution is to put the device in "lock on holster" mode.  Any one else noticed this.?   Not hard to replicate.
