1 Folder with 16 icons(Call this Folder 1),
Included in those 16 icons was the carrier provisioned Youtube app,
-I deleted the Youtube app,
-Folder 1 now has 15 icons,
-Moved another App into the folder[We will call this (App A)],
-Folder 1 now has 16 icons,
-I applied a OS Update of 485Kb(was the youtube app),
-Update automatically placed the youtube app inside the Full folder of 16 icons(Folder 1),
-App A dissapeared from the folder(Folder 1),
-App A was not in the application list,
-App A was searchable using the device search function,
-App A could be launched from the search,
-Launched App World, My Account > Downloaded Apps,
-Tapped and held App A > Selected Uninstall,
-App A was removed from the device,
-Redownloaded App A,
-App A now shows in the Application List,
-Folder 1 has now dissapeared.
-All the applications contained in Folder 1 have also dissapeared
-Applications contained within Folder 1 can be found / launched using the search function
-Preformed a device reboot
-Applications contained in Folder 1 are now on the last pane of the application list
-Folder 1 does not exist
-Recreated Folder 1, re-added apps to folder 1.
In the end, I resolved the issue, however as you can tell, this is not the expected results based on the original action taken.
When the OS update re-downloaded the youtube app, the device should have placed the app in the last pane of the application list IF the folder was full.
I hope this painted a clear enough picture in order to re-create the issue on your end and resolve the issue moving forward. This may ofcourse have been a 1 off incident, and there may already be a check in place to see if the folder was full before 'forcing' the app to redownload to that folder....but also that could have been an oversight.
The Z10 is amazing, truly! I understand this is a new OS and there will be kinks to work out and I am perfectly fine with that. This post was intended to simply inform BBRY of the issue/bug experienced.
Here's to keep moving forward!
