Gmail not connecting

Unable to connect to my gmail account using the general Add Account setup. Getting the following message for the last few days:

 

[imap.gmail.com, port: 993] can't be reached. The settings might be incorrect or the server could be temporarily offline. Check your settings or try again.

 

Any suggestions or is there a known issue?

Are you on the stock OS or a leaked OS?  I was having password/server issues with the last leaked OS.

Are you trying to change some existing settings or is this being added from scratch?

Hi I have problem with my Gmail account when using only wifi. As I am out of my country often I have to use wifi for data transfer. I have Q10 with all the latest updates. Everything else is working fine ( facebook, whatsapp, browsing...). I can't receive or send any emails, and in settings I got this message: the server smtp.google.com for your account is not responding...
Any idea??
