Re: How do I insert "new line" (space for new paragraph) in typing?

Resolution for adding a new paragraph in SMS and BBM:

Press and hold ALT 'til the indicator in the top right turns blue, then the Return/Enter key

On Z10

Either set up word substition ("qq" substitutes to carriage return)

Or delete the recipient's name in the address field/start a fresh email without a recipient in the To: field. Carriage return button only changes to SEND when there's a recipient.

Re: How do I insert "new line" (space for new paragraph) in typing?

Hi, there's this tip I accidentally found. You know how there is no clear guide to press enter to make a new line? Well all you have to do is press the Shift button once(so it's highlighted in blue) and press the enter/send button. You should be able to make a new line. Good luck! Smiley Happy

Not on the Z10, on most text entry screens.

Re: How do I insert "new line" (space for new paragraph) in typing?

I think it depends on what version of software you use. I'm using a Z10 with the 10.1 MR update although I'm not too certain if it has to do with the software update. I use this method for basically any or all text entry screens.

Yep, that does work on most screens now with .4181

It hasn't in the past, hence the need for those questions above.

OMG! IT ACTUALY WORKS!!!!

But still what a stupid logic. Srsly Blackberry lost its mind when they decide to hire those people who wrote the new OS.!! -.-
This company will die out in 2years max.

SO the solution is: HOLD "SHIFT" till highlighted and then press... wait for it, wait for it... "SEND"!!!

Nice work man, thank you a lot.! Smiley Very Happy

I remember y'all saying that four years ago. You wish hasn't come true yet.
