Re: How do I insert "new line" (space for new paragraph) in typing?

On text messages put the addressee details in after you have completed you message. The keys then all work as if sending an email

10.2 software allows one to change 'Send' on keypad to 'Enter' (Carraige Return).

Re: How do I insert "new line" (space for new paragraph) in typing?

Going in circles here. If the question still is How to insert "new line" on a Z10. The answer was given by Scalable message 24. Dont type in a recipient until you have completed the message. The key concerned will remain in "return" mode while ever there is no send to address. The key has 3 functions  "Next" Send" and "return". the mode changes depending what you are doing automatically. Type message first, then recipient and no problem with inserting the new line

raeka, no, we're not going in circles, we're answering additional questions as asked and responding to updates on the OS which have changed since the initial post in this thread. Which, if you read it, you'll see has nothing at all originally to do with SMS you're focusing on, but emails and Facebook, in which your solution doesn't apply.

Going in circles, you'd be answering the initial post. Smiley Wink

J Sanders thank you so much!

I am sure this was not there in prior OS versions and is finally exactly what I have been looking for.

Thanks, this is much better than all the workarounds discussed above.

"Use enter key to send = Off" if you want to put a return line in text messages. the button now reads "next" and puts a carriage return in.

The send button is now top right, exactly as I requested in several posts on the forums in past months.

Well done Blackberry

You're welcome, and you're right, it was not in the original OS, I think it returned with one of the 10.2.0.xxx updates.

Good luck.
