I guess by default the sim contacts were not shown.
1. To make it visible, open the "Contacts" app then swipe from the top edge of the screen to see the "Settings" icon, then on the "Settings" scroll down and look for "Show Account in Contact List" turn on SIM Card Contacts.
2. For the newly created contacts not showing, there where two options,
2.a Using local contacts, on the New Contact screen click "Save to:" then check "Local Contacts"
2.b When saving to Gmail Contacts or other Online Accounts make sure youre online, or else it will now show the newly created contact.

Just curious, when you go the "Contacts" app Settings, when you scroll to the bottom most part there is a section for "SIM Card"
a. Import Contacts from SIM Card
b. Copy Contacts from Device to SIM Card
c. Manage SIM Card Contacts
Can you see any contact info when you select "Manage SIM Card Contacts"?

If it is easy to find a prepaid sim card and it is cheap in your area, I think you need to try a different sim card and see if contacts would work on your device.
If it also fails maybe you really need to bring it to a service center.
Also, do you have a signal and can you receive and send with your sim card?

Hello all. I have a problem with my BlackBerry z10
1) I can't see my sim contacts and when I go to All it shows just some few contacts that I saved in my phone a whole ago
2) when I add a new contact it saves but I can't find it anywhere in my contacts.
This is giving me serious headaches now. Please can anyone help ?
I found on a previous OS that new contacts only showed after a reboot, with the latest OS it takes about 10s to show in contacts.
