I hate the BB Z 10

OMG where do I start! I just purchased Z10 on 4/18/13 and after waiting for an hour for sales rep to do paperwork, I get home and the battery does NOT charge. Back to store and after another 1.5 hours, I have to transfer all info from my 9900. Went to bed, woke up and had a full battery, after an hour only had .50 of battery. Then tried to make a call, dail nor contact would display. Delay of 5 minutes. Frozen!!!  THIS IS A HORRIBLE PHONE!!!!I AM TYPING THIS FROM A SAMSUNG GALAXY 3....WTH!!!!!

I WILL BE BACK AT TMOBILE AT 10:00AM TO RETURN. I AM DISAPPIINTED WITH THE POOR QUALITY. I OWN SEVERAL BIZ AND MY PHONE IS 24 HOURS A DAY.....HORRIBLE!!!

Sorry your experience has not been pleasant. Mine has been the exact opposite.  Maybe that one had issues from the manufacturer.  I went to the Staples store on Thursday to purchase my son a laptop/tablet for my son who is in the Marine Corp; I had to do some quick finances at the register on my Z 10.  The store clerks hadn't seen one and were impressed. Try one more.Smiley Wink

We have a number of Z10's, that were bought the second day they were available. We have no issues. There has to be issues with your carrier, or the way the phone is being set up.

 

The Z10s' that I use, and with the other people I know who have them are all impressed with this phone's performance and operation. I send about 80% of my emails on my Z10. I also do some web browsing. I use this phone for both business and personal use.

jaxs022464, hopefully TMO with get you a good device. What you're seeing is not normal. The battery the first week is bad. That's known. We've all experienced it, as the BlackBerry syncs all the email, social networks and contacts. There are also some good battery saving tips I can post later.

You don't know how fortunate you are to be able to return your Z10... I just replaced my old 9900 for the new Z10, I'm totally disappointed the new one doesn't push emails as my old 9900 used to, which was the primary reason why I preferred BB over android. The Z10 is useless for me since receiving emails instantly is crucial to my business, unfortunately, I live in Mexico and there's no way I can't return the Z10, so you're lucky you can return yours.

I have noticed that you have mentioned in other forums that your Z10 doesnt support push. You must be doing something wrong as the phone definitely supports push and it is working for the rest of us in this forum and anyone else using the awesome phone.

ukmight, the device supports push IF the IMAP server allows the idle set to on, and some IMAP servers do not, therefore what remains is the 15 min minimum sync cycle.

 

For instance GoDaddy hosted private email accounts have that setting, but doesn't allow the push.

Yeah, that was kind of managed by the BIS earlier. But most of the email service providers have this service enabled.
