IMEI block of Z10

Hello,

 

My bb Z10 has been blocked this morning, just like that.

Changed SIM-Card makes no defference.

SIM work's on other mobile, it is the Z10 that has been block.

 

Message

 

DEVICE HAS BEEN BLOCKED

IMEI: xxxxxxx

can not make contact to Blackberry.................

 

Bought it on march 2013 by "www.centralpoint.be"

 

Urgent please, this is my phone for work and i am an indepentend (www.lumenplus.be)

Have you called your mobile provider or device seller to inquire?

 

Normally an IMEI is only blocked after it is reported lost or stolen.

I know, I called telenet, they can't do anything they say.

They are wrong.

Only carriers place blocks and suspensions on IMEIs.

i called telenet (my provider since 1 week), they never use IMEI, the police do that, they just block the SIM.

former provider was mobistar witch BIS contract, now they are look in to it.

(former mail with BIS contract was lumenplus@mobistar.blackberry.be)

 

Could it be my "BB protect" ??

 

mobistar say everything is de-activated of my account, so they say they can't block my device

with IMEI.

 

Is my device lost?

Have you tried one of these checking services? They are not always up to date.

I bought an old fashion cheap GSM, so my clients can contact me again, but I surely miss my

Z10 even it was just 1 day so far. (Blackberry was my secretary many years now)

I need a solution fast, any idea?

Can I contact "Blackberry" in belgium?

As I said, those check services are often not up to date.  In other words, if it says you are not blocked, it could be wrong.  If it said it is, then you would know for sure. 

 

With all due respect, you are getting the runaround by your provider.  Are you talking to a local "tech" person?  I lived in Europe long enough to know that in the majority of cases the service person's job is not to help you but find a way to get you off the phone... and I know you know what I'm talking about.  (For instance, the police do not block IMEI numbers...)  You should elevate the issue or at least speak to a supervisor. 

 

But, again, if I were in your shoes I would contact the person/company from whom you bought the phone and demand an explanation.  The only slight possibility is, you mentioned your bberry account was a BIS account.  The Z10 cannot and does not operate on a BIS account.

I will contact centralpoint again, the providers are indeed not quit good for "technical support" even it

Is a business-contract.

 

If it's not solved by next week, i consider buying a Q10 or a Q5.

( i hope it's not go that way)

PS.: my bbm worked fine with the Z10 on mobistar BIS.

Good luck.  But keep us informed?  It's very helpful when someone finally sorts an issue if they let us all know what happened.  BTW, what I meant was the Z10 was not designed to run BIS and perhaps could cause issues.
