Information about IMAP Email

Hi,

 

I am in Argentina and I have the Z10. When I configure my IMAP Email (not SSL) with WIFI work fine but with the Carrier only (Personal-AR) I can received but not can send email.

 

THE SOLUTION: I set in my email server SSL for IMAP and SMTP and change this in my account configuration on Z10 and I can send email !!!!

 

Is possible that some carrier not have enable the port 25 (SMTP)....????

The problem is that most carriers block the outgoing SMTP mail server. If you have a private server for your mail, you can change the outbound port to port 26 on the server. The other option is to use another SMTP server that is not being blocked. You can use your home internet SMTP server for outbound and inbound use your email server as you currently have.
