Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync account do not work

hi guys,

bought yesterday a blackberry z10 and upgrade to software version 10.0.10.90.

 

i can not add a Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync acount, either for outlook.com or gmail.com. both accounts working great with my ipad and another android device, configured as exchange activesync. (i also delete one and reconfigured again, just to see if maybe the service is not working...)

i read the configuration guide http://bizblog.blackberry.com/2013/03/blackberry-10-activesync/ which works also on other devices as mentioned above.

 

i always receive following error message when i want to add an account:

service for account (xxxx) is not available. access should be available soon. [error code: 403]

 

very ridiculous for an enterprise device... as well that the above link referencing to "official blackberry support" is not working...

 

any other users have the same issue? read various messages most solved by  an older software version 10.0.10.85.

 

in addition, where can i fill a bug to my blackberry z10?

Google has decided to block all new connections to Gmail over ActiveSync unless you are a paying customer.  Existing devices are grandfathered in, but if you remove the connection and try to set it up again you will get the 403 forbidden error. 

 

This is not a problem with BlackBerry but simply a decision Google made about their product.

 

Outlook.com should integrate with no issues over ActiveSync.  I've  created a test account and added it with no issues.

nice for you its working, but not for me as well for other customers, too. so what's wrong? software version?

 

a) i'm a paying customer; still works with other devices like a charm

b) outlook.com: created a new account and setup up as mentioned in above url

 

still not works, and as far bing/google other people have same problem

 

what is the official support url, where customers can fill a bug, btw

You need to contact your carrier if you want to open a support ticket.

 

There is no need to use an advanced setup for outlook.com accounts.  Just integrate it using your email address/password so you can avoid having to fill in the server information yourself.

thanks with the hint NOT to use advanced setup for outlook.com!

this works like a charm, thanks!

 

but still bug me with gmail account Smiley Sad
