Native E-Mail BlackBerry 10

Hello,

I'm a current OS 7.1 Torch 9860 user. I'm thinking about upgrading to BB10 in the next few months.

At least with the legacy BlackBerries, one cannot use native email without a data plan.

Considering that BB10 devices do not use BIS (BlackBerry Internet Service), is it possible to use native e-mail on BB10 without a data plan?

Thanks,

gajariam

Yes, on WiFi only.

You will need a generic data plan on your account for mobile data, when not connected to WiFi.

Thanks.

I have no intentions of purchasing a data plan, I am fine with E-Mail access solely over Wi-Fi

Gotcha, that will work fine anytime you're connected to WiFi.
