It is possible this is may be caused due to a hardware failure. However to clarify if this is a hardware or software failure, try to replicate the same symptoms using other applications that utilize the voice input functionality of the BlackBerry.
For example, do other applications such taking a video, sending a voice note via BBM, or using the Voice Control application properly record your voice or sounds? If not, this could be caused due to a hardware failure of the microphone.
If all other applications function properly and only the Phone application is affected, you could try resetting the BlackBerry Z10 Smartphone, check the Software Updates and make sure the BlackBerry Z10 Smartphone is up to date, or as a last resort you could backup the BlackBerry Z10 Smartphone and reload the software.
Hopefully this helps diagnose the root cause to clarify if this is a hardware or software fault.

I have exactly the same problem.
After I updated OS to 10.1 people stopped hearing me
It looks like the problem is related to internal mic because when I switch to loudspeaker everything starts to work fine.
I experience the same problem with Skype.
So, it must be the the control of internal microphone

I have the same problem, i have got new z10 a week ago, it was all good and now callers can't hear me at all, its strange as it works some times and always works when on speaker phone..
so don't know if this is hardware issue as it still works some times
can any one please help..
