At least once a day the phone randomly asks me to enter a password for one of my email or contacts accounts.
It says the password has changed when it has not. Entering my old / current password works and then it is fine until next time.
All I can think is the mail service, iCloud or Hotmail in this case, either does not response or does not send a conformation, ie the service could not be reached. No problems on any other computers or iPhone or Android.
I think BB is to quick to assume password has changed when it encounters any kind of error.
This is madenly anoying as I do not carry around my passwords with me and they are all long, random strings.

Hello shadowmatt and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
To clarify, you are using a Hotmail account and are being prompted daily for the password?
Do you have more than one email account set up? If so, do any of these other accounts prompt for the password?
Are you connected to a Wi-Fi network when the password prompt comes up or are you using the mobile network?

I have given upon the hotmail account as it was not important.
The iCloud account is however and that happens a lot.
It has happened on both WiFi and mobile network.
It happens usually twice a day and the timing is random.
I also have 2 gmail accouts setup which workm fine.
Tried removing and adding back account numerous times.
The email and contacts accounts for iCloud have both reported the password change independantly, probalby when trying to sync.
I did have a 15 character password of random letters and numbers. I have now shortened it to 8 to see if that helps.

It has just happened now, with the new shorter password. This is on wifi at my home.
It is the iCloud contacts account which has lost / rejected the password this time.

This has happened again for the iCloud contacts account.
Twice today now.
On work wifi, very fast connection, no down time.
Also on a computer connected to iCloud and no such errors.

I have now tried a different imap and card addresses for iCloud instead of the default ones the Z10 sets up.
They are the same addresses except with p03- infront of them.
These connected fine but after an hour they showed the same error.
We are now on 4 forgotton passwords today.
This is getting really anoying given I purchased the Z10 to manage my email and contacts.
