Photo's too big for sending

I have a blackberry Z10 which is getting better and better with each update, if only I had a an app for google and RBS I would be proper sorted.

One other annoyance is that I use the camera a lot for work items that need to be emailed to people and my last Blackberry did that very quickly because the pictures were of lowere quality.

But because the BB Z10 pictures are of high quality big files, I have to faff about with the photos reducing the size of them before sending, this takes up lots of valuable time.

I downloaded photo studio to do this, but really the smartphone camera should give me an option of what size to send before I click the button.

Is there an easy fix for this?

Re: Photo's too big for sending

When you upgrade to the latest OS 10.2.1.1925 or higher, you will be given the option to choose a small, medium or original file size.

Re: Photo's too big for sending

Yes thats what prompted me to post this, I have the latest software and I did get an option which I was delighted about, but it asked me if wanted to use this size everytime I share and I said yes.

Now it doesn't give me the option and has gone back to the big files.

Odd, you diidn't mention that you had that option.

What is the app for google you're looking for?

Re: Photo's too big for sending

It's not odd , I didn't mention it because I wasn't sure if I was in photo suite when that happened but now you've confirmed it came from the BB update.

Is there any way I can get that option back now as I pressed that I wanted the small picture every time and now I have no option but the big file.

The app I am looking for is the Google app itself, I just downloaded it to my ipad and it has a camera option on it, that if you click the camera icon and take a picture of a landmark or logo etc. it will automatically search for it.

I took a picture of my Z10 and it automatically searched for Blackberry, a bit gimmicky but cool.

I've never heard of that google app. It's called "Google app"?

Yea, the option was there, I've used, and like you, now it's gone.  I am asking around.

Re: Photo's too big for sending

Yep, it is there as described in the more options.

Thank you. I suspect the OP above also tapped "Always use the option. Don't show again"
