No

You can always reinstall the OS that originally came with your device without the need of any additional SIM card. 

So go for it if you think it will resolve your problem.

Hav decidedto send back to singapore the OS reload stopped midway for whatever reasons and could not get it back on.. Lost patience.. Switched back to the BOLD 9900 (reliable as ever).. In a way I am glad I am back.. Cause I had numerous issues with my Z10.. Power button was the last..

I found the device very slow, was getting slower by the day.. Very unstable.. I had to reboot once every 2 days by taking battery out...

Suddenly I won't b able to see my calendars as it will say that the format is not supported and suddenyl after some time the calendar will appear..


Similarly the remote search functionity for contacts and email on the enterpise server will not appear at many occasions, if I want to search for a contact its only a 50 50 chance I will get the search functionality...

And so on...
