Re: Problem with Software Release 10.2.0.424 (OS 10.2.0.1791)

Right, I understand that, and the process I linked does not use Link to install the upgrade, unless you're also backing up and restoring. The upgrade process itself is independent of Link.

Re: Problem with Software Release 10.2.0.424 (OS 10.2.0.1791)

I have exactly the same problem after updating to 10.2.0.424. Vodacom even replaced my phone, but guess what, the same software and issues on NEW Phone right out of the box. This is absolutely pathetic and no one at vodacom seems to know what to do.

What is your "same" issue?

Camera not working, battery draining in half a day with almost no usage, and media player not able to play videos.

Re: Problem with Software Release 10.2.0.424 (OS 10.2.0.1791)

I upgraded from os10.1. 2 weeks ago. Before that everything was working fine. I waited for the update to be sent to my phone from vodacom. (no leaks). The replacement phone i got from vodacom already had os 10.2.0.424 installed and had the same camera and media problems from the start.

Personally, I'd upgrade to 10.2.0.1803

Re: Problem with Software Release 10.2.0.424 (OS 10.2.0.1791)

How do you choose to upgrade to 10.2.0.1803 and not 10.2.0424?

After updating to 10.2.0424 my battery got depleted and seems to be fried, can't be charged again. Not even if I take it out of the phone and put it in the blackberry external charger. Everything was fine before with the earlier 10.2 update.

Ok, then before anything else, you need a working battery. Can you get one locally or order one online?

Amazon.com has them.
